Angolan Foreign Minister, Téte António, welcomed the new ambassador of China, Zhang Bin, to discuss the bilateral agenda, essentially focused on the exchange of visits at the highest level.
After presenting his credentials to Angolan President João Lourenço in Cidade Alta, the Chinese representative talked with the foreign minister (pictured above) on Friday about issues related to political and diplomatic relations, and exchanged views to boost bilateral cooperation.
A Foreign Ministry’s note said that António explained to the Asian diplomat the Government’s current priorities for the development of the national economy, focused on three fundamental pillars: cereal production, fishing and livestock, each with their respective plans.

The parties expressed their desire to continue working hand in hand to increase the level of cooperation between the two States, which are considered strategic partners.
During the audience, the ambassador handed over a letter from the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, addressed to Téte António, expressing the willingness to work with the Angolan Government in the implementation of the projects agreed between the two countries, with a view to promoting China-Angola relations and cooperation for mutual benefit.
