Angolan Airline TAAG to Launch Direct Flight to China

 

Angolan airline TAAG – Linhas Aéreas de Angola is launching a direct flight between Luanda and Changsha, according to the Angolan embassy in Beijing.

The Commerce Department of the Chinese province of Hunan, of which Changsha is the capital, said that the flight was approved by the Chinese State Council in 2020.

According to the same source, quoted by Hunan press, due to the covid-19 pandemic the opening has been delayed for this year.

There is still no certain date for the inauguration of the flight.

In addition to the passenger flight to Luanda, the city will inaugurate an air cargo connection to Nigeria. The capital of Hunan already has a passenger flight to Nairobi.

Economic Reforms Make Angola More Attractive to Chinese Investment

In early April, a delegation of diplomats from Portuguese-speaking African countries visited the city, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

Diplomats visited Chinese companies operating in Africa and agricultural research centers.
