Brazil and China have signed deals in Beijing to strenthen ties on the civil aviation sector, including training programmes.
The agreement between Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and China’s Civilian Aviation Authority (CAAC), aims to promote professional training and encourage the use of more sustainable fuels in aviation, as well as to implement electronic licences for general aviation pilots.
The Brazilian delegation, led by the president-in-chief of ANAC, Tiago Pereira, met with the administrator of CAAC, Song Zhiyong, to formalize the memorandum of understanding.
China has expressed significant interest in the Brazilian aviation industry, notably in Embraer’s contribution to the Chinese regional aviation sector, where about 30% of the aircraft are Brazilian-made.
In addition to the agreement with CAAC, ANAC’s visit to China included a partnership with China Aviation University (CAUC), promoting educational exchanges and deepening academic ties between the two countries.
This supplementary agreement aims at the cross-participation of ANAC servers in programs offered by CAUC and vice versa.
China and Brazil Pledge to Push Forward “Important” Strategic Partnership
ANAC’s mission to China, held on 22 and 23 February, also involved strategic meetings with representatives of the Brazilian Embassy, the Brazil Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (ApexBrasil) and Embraer in Beijing, highlighting Brazil’s commitment to strengthening trade and educational relations with China.
