The Photovoltaic Solar Energy Associations of Brazil (ABSOLAR) and China (CPIA) are partnering to attract more investment in the South American country and bilateral technological exchange.
ABSOLAR is organizing an exclusive meeting this week to discuss the strengthening of the bilateral market between Brazil and China, in particular to expand business in the areas of solar energy, storage and green hydrogen, in a partnership with the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), ApexBrasil, the Federal Government of Brazil and the Government of China.
During the meeting, representatives of the organizations, the Brazilian and Chinese governments and the private photovoltaic sector will discuss the prospects for developing new businesses in the two countries, as well as attracting more investment in Brazil and technological exchange.

The program will include talks focusing on government initiatives and opportunities for cooperation, including in technical and technological areas, to strengthen the development of the solar sector in bilateral trade between the countries.
The event, which will take place at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP) in the state capital, is the first of its kind in the country, with the first edition being held in Shanghai, China, in 2023, and is part of the initiatives provided for in the cooperation agreement signed in 2022 between ABSOLAR and CPIA.
For ABSOLAR’s CEO, Rodrigo Sauaia, the meeting is another important step in bringing the Brazilian and Chinese sectors, markets and entrepreneurs closer together, since Brazil and China are considered to be two of the world’s leading solar photovoltaic ecosystems.

“Collaboration between ABSOLAR and CPIA is increasingly central to the exchange of information and experiences, the sharing of good practices and successful policies, as well as building bridges between the solar sectors in Brazil and China,” Sauaia said.
Ronaldo Koloszuk, chairman of ABSOLAR’s Board of Directors, said the great purpose of this bilateral relationship is to provide an increasingly favorable environment for the development of new businesses, within a space of more synergies for the growth of solar energy in their markets.
“China is a world reference in the development of photovoltaic solar technology and the solar source has immense potential for generating green jobs and income, attracting investment and protecting the environment,” he concluded.
