PortugalFoods Pushes Into Vietnam Market

In its string of “virtual trade missions” to Asia, starting with Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and South Korea, PortugalFoods is now venturing into the Vietnam market.

As part of these virtual missions, allowing companies to promote their products and boost their business in contact with international buyers, PortugalFoods will organize, from 29 June to 3 July, meetings with a representative of the Vietnamese platform Buy2Sell, according to a statement.

Founded in 2015, this platform imports and distributes international products in Vietnam, and is already the leader in e-commerce in the country. With a turnover of 15 million dollars, it supplies more than 120,000 distributors and retailers in this market.

This marketplace has a diverse food product catalog, originating in countries such as Australia, USA, Italy and Spain, and offers innovative, “terroir”, gourmet and organic products.

In this first contact with companies in the national agri-food sector, they intend to meet with companies from different product categories.

According to PortugalFoods, companies can enroll until June 18, through its website, and the importer will select the companies with which he intends to meet.

The first such virtual missions were “PortugalFoods @ Taiwan & Singapore” and “PortugalFoods @ Hong Kong & South Korea”, from 15-19 June.
