Portugal´s Trade Agency, AICEP, and the Department of Commerce of Shandong (China) signed a cooperation agreement aimed at deepening bilateral relations and promoting business opportunities.
The signing of the protocol took place at the “Portugal Economic and Trade Coperation Matchmaking Conference”, organized by the Luso-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC) with the Department of Commerce of Shandong province and with the support of AICEP and the Chinese Embassy in Portugal.
At the conference, Carlos Fernandes, senior investment manager at AICEP, highlighted the Portuguese offer and several Chinese and Portuguese companies attended, followed by a networking session.
Portugal underlines need to “find a greater balance in trade” with China
The initiative included interventions by the administrator of AICEP, Luís Rebelo de Sousa, the Chinese ambassador to Portugal, Zhao Bentang, the deputy director general of the department of trade in Shandong, Zhang Xincheng, and the secretary general of CCILC, Bernardo Mendia.
In a statement, CCILC said it “will continue to invest in value events, aimed at promoting economic and commercial relations, deepening bilateral contacts and opening up business opportunities”.
