The President of China, Xi Jinping stressed in a message to his Mozambican counterpart, Filipe Nyusi, that he attaches high importance to the development of Sino-Mozambique relations.
The message was sent on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of Mozambican independence, the Presidency of the Republic of Mozambique said in a statement.
In the note, Xi Jinping stresses that in recent years, the Sino-Mozambique relationship has developed rapidly, characterized by stronger mutual political trust, firm mutual support in international and regional affairs, as well as fruitful pragmatic cooperation in all spheres, bringing more benefits to the peoples of the two countries.
The President of China advances that he attaches high importance to the development of Sino-Mozambique relations, expressing willingness to continuously foster traditional friendship and deepen cooperation of mutual benefit, the same source added.
The message addresses, on behalf of the Government and the people of China, the sincere congratulations and best greetings to President Nyusi, the government and people of Mozambique”, according to the Presidency of the Republic of Mozambique.
“China and Mozambique are good friends and true brothers, facing the storms shoulder to shoulde and sharing the same joys and suffering,” the statement read.
