Chinese President Xi Jinping vowed to support his country´s comprehensive partnership with Timor-Leste, in congratulating his Timorese counterpart for the 21 anniversary of its independence.
In a message to the Timorese President, José Ramos-Horta, Xi praised that over the last 21 years Timor-Leste has revitalizedand modernized.
The Chinese leader said that with a deep and traditional friendship, China always treats Timor-Leste as a good neighbor, friend and partner, and is willing to provide support and assistance for the revitalization of the country.
Procurement projects in Timor-Leste earned Chinese companies USD 715 million
Xi underlined he attaches high importance to the development of relations between China and Timor.
He also vowed to promote, together with President José Ramos-Horta, the bilateral comprehensive partnership, supporting further development.
