Portugal´s EDP pays China Three Gorges EUR 150 million in dividends
EDP, Portugal´s larget utility, is paying since Thursday EUR 695 million in dividends to its shareholders. A a fifth of the total, around EUR 150 million, will go to China Three Gorges (CTG), the largest shareholder, according to EDP.

Chinese Oil Imports From Angola Fall 19% in 1Q
Chinese oil imports from Angola fell nearly 19% in the first quarter of the year, while increasing from Russia and Saudi Arabia, the country´s 2 main suppliers. The reduction of Angola´s exports is putting pressure on its trade balance of goods, according to data from the national bank.

OPEC Deal Adds to Angola´s Woes
The agreement between the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-member countries (OPEC+) means Angola should cut oil production to around 1.1 million barrels per day. And the announcement has not sustained oil prices in the international markets.

China’s CNPC Natural Gas Project in Mozambique Delayed
The final investment decision for the Rovuma LNG natural gas project, in Mozambique, which was scheduled for this year, has been postponed, announced US group ExxonMobil, that partners with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for the project. The decision is part of the measures to respond to the economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic.
